Lara Logan

 Lara Logan (born 29/03/71) is a South African television, radio and war reporter. She was a CBS News reporter from 2002 to 2018.60 Minutes executive producers Jeff Fager and Lara Logan said that her inaccurate and politcally biased report on the 2012 Benghazi attacks "the biggest mistake of my entire decade of watching." In 2019 she joined Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative-leaning media firm. The company was acquired by Fox Nation in January 2020. Fox News runs the subscription streaming service. She said that she had been "dumped by the company" in March 2022. Logan was news reporter for the Sunday Tribune in Durban during her studies (1988-1989), then for the city's Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she became a senior producer for Reuters Television Africa. After four years in the company, she began freelance journalism. Assignments included those as a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. She was a reporter for CNN and reported on events such as the 1998 United States embassy bombings in Nairobi and Tanzania as well as the ongoing conflict in Northern Ireland, and the Kosovo war
