Krystal Marie Ball

Krystal Marie Balm (born November 24, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a presidential candidate, as well as an anchor on television at MSNBC, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and former host of The Hill's Rising together with Saagar Enjeti. Enjeti and Ball announced in the month of May that they would leave the show to launch their own show, Breaking Points with Krystal and Saagar. Ball is co-hosting alongside Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. Her guest appearances include on Fox News, CNN and Fox News. Ball got married to Jonathan Dariyanani in 2020. Ball credits her passion for politics due to the reality that she became a mom during the 2008 primaries, and was also able to watch the US presidential election results while living in Jordan. She witnessed how it affected the people of that country and developed an appreciation for US politics' global impact. She was a Senior Fellow with the New Leaders Council. Ball was chosen by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1stCongressional District during the 2010 election. But she was defeated by Rob Wittman. From June 2012 until July 2015, she was the co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC. She launched the People's House Project in May 2017 to promote Democratic causes.
